Job summary

Somerset Cuisine is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Controller to manage digital stock integrity in Sage 50 while performing daily warehouse duties. The role combines system data entry with hands-on palletising and reach truck operation for high-bay stock.

You will log incoming goods, dispatches, stock adjustments and damages in Sage 50, run regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies quickly to keep inventory accurate. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• System Management: Accurately log all incoming goods, dispatches, stock adjustments, and product damages within Sage 50.
• Stock Auditing: Plan and conduct regular physical cycle counts, reconciling physical shelf data with system records.
• Order Processing: Pick, pack and palltise customer orders, as per clients requirements.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Troubleshoot stock errors, misallocated bin locations, and delivery variances quickly and efficiently

The Warehouse Operative / Controller is a dual-role position responsible for managing digital stock integrity while executing daily physical warehouse duties. This position requires a proactive professional who can seamlessly transition between managing inventory data inside Sage 50 and operating a reach truck forklift to handle high-bay stock placement and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Systems (Sage 50)

• System Management: Accurately log all incoming goods, dispatches, stock adjustments, and product damages within Sage 50.
