Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Nursery Cook for a friendly early years setting near riverside with an enclosed outdoor space. The role runs Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering flexibility and purpose as you prepare healthy meals for children aged 0-5.

You’ll cater to dietary needs, maintain kitchen hygiene, and work with a warm team to create a homely environment where great food supports children’s health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cook, preferably in childcare or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of allergies, intolerances, and nutritional needs for young children.
• A genuine passion for preparing food that supports children’s health and wellbeing.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0-5.
• Cater to individual dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Manage food stock, orders, and supplies efficiently.
• Ensure all food safety records are up to date.

As the Nursery Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks that cater to a variety of dietary needs—all in line with food safety and nutritional guidelines. What You’ll Need

• Previous experience working as a cook, ideally in a childcare or similar setting
