Job summary

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver in Stoke to be part of a two-man team delivering produce. Start times are typically 07:00–09:00, Monday to Friday, with handball assistance from a driver mate and 12–15 drops daily to wholesalers and food distributors.

As a Class 2 driver you will deliver to retailers across the local region, maintain the vehicle in good condition, complete all paperwork accurately and uphold a professional standard with customers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Category C (Class 2) licence and Driver CPC/DQC.
• Must have a Digital Tachograph Card and experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Reliable timekeeping and ability to load/unload with a driver mate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general produce to established retailers, distributors and wholesalers.
• Make 12–15 drops per day within the local region.

Class 2 Driver - £15ph - £16.81ph | Monday to Friday | Immediate Starts Available | Stoke

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver in Stoke to be a part of a two-man team delivering produce.

This role involves high levels of handball, so you will be going with a Drivers Mate, delivering produce to wholesalers and many food distributors, typically 12-15 drops. Start times are typically between 0700 and 0900 Monday to Friday.

Pay & Benefits for a Class 2 Driver

£15ph (+ accrued holiday pay). Holiday is paid when you take annual leave.

£16.81ph with your Holiday Pay rolled-up.

The Role

As a Class 2 you'll be delivering general produce to established retailers, food distributors and wholesalers throughout the local region. Typical duties include:

• Delivering car parts to industrial customers in a 75-mile radius.
• Loading/unloading of produce, with the assistance of a drivers mate
• Carefully delivering heavy items such as engines and oil drums
• Representing the client professionally and keeping customers satisfied
• Driving carefully and ensuring your assigned vehicle is well maintained and any defects are reported
• All paperwork and products on vehicle is checked to ensure accuracy with deliveries
• Consistent communication is maintained throughout shift
• Usually doing 12-15 regular deliveries of heavy goods per day

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Van Driver who have:

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence. Valid
• Driver CPC / DQC. Valid
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience or confidence working within a busy multi-drop environment.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and tachograph requirements.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely load, unload and move stock.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
