Pure Staff's Driving Team is recruiting an experienced Technical Installation Driver (Class 2) for an established distribution business in Daventry. The role is Monday–Friday, starting around 05:00 and averaging 10–12 hours per day, with varying contracts delivering printers, installing lockers for Amazon, and white goods deliveries in two-man and solo setups.

The position is hands-on driving, with loading/unloading and safety checks, offering direct PAYE employment and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence (Category C).
• CPC / DQC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and tachograph requirements.
• Customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to load, unload and move stock.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Job description

£16.52 - £20.50 per hour | Monday to Friday | Ongoing Work | Daventry | Class 2 Driver

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting experienced Technical Installation Driver (Class 2 Driver) for an established distribution business based in Daventry. This is a Monday to Friday position, typically starting at 05:00, with shifts averaging around 10 - 12 hours per day. The work is varied and have 3 different contracts they run from this site delivering printers to commercial businesses, installing delivery lockers on behalf of Amazon (can include using hand tools), or the delivery of white goods.

Printers and Locker runs are done as part of a two-man team as they are expected to deliver to the customers specification, the other is a solo role, so there is a level of handball to all positions. The white good deliveries are curb dropped and they are not expected to be installed or delivered directly. Manual handling equipment is provided for these deliveries.

Pay & Details

• Monday to Friday (Days) = £16.52ph (or £18.51 with your holiday pay rolled up)
• Overtime pay after 8 hours = £18.29ph (or £20.50 with your holiday pay rolled up)
• Accurate & reliable weekly pay every Thursday evening / Friday morning.
• Monday to Friday only, No weekends, no bank holidays.
• Ongoing, full-time hours.
• Direct PAYE employment direct with Pure Staff - no umbrella companies or payroll processing fees.

The rates above include an additional 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay. Prefer traditional holiday pay? No problem. You can instead have your holiday pay accrued separately and paid when you take annual leave.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll be responsible for:

• Multi-drop deliveries and Installation work
• Following planned routes and daily delivery manifests.
• Completing daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Providing a professional service when delivering to customers.

This is a hands-on driving role, so drivers must be comfortable with loading, unloading and physically handling stock.

Our Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Multi-drop experience or confidence working within a busy multi-drop environment.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and tachograph requirements.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely load, unload and move stock.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
