Job description

At Discovery, you'll discover more than a job - you'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Guided by our values, we create an inclusive, rewarding environment where your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support.

Together, we'll make a real difference - for them, and for you

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

Join our friendly team at Greenbanks as a Waking Night Support Worker, where you'll provide dedicated overnight support to three wonderful ladies with learning disabilities and diverse support needs. While many nights are calm and settled, you'll be a reassuring presence, ready to provide support whenever it's needed. From helping someone settle back to sleep to offering comfort and encouragement, you'll play an important role in creating a safe and happy home. You might even enjoy the occasional late-night Disney movie marathon with one of the women before helping her settle down for the night.

Your role will include:

  • Carrying out regular "keeping safe checks" to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
  • Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.
  • Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
  • Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
  • Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
About you

We're looking for someone who brings compassion, reliability, and a genuine desire to make a difference. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Care deeply about people and want to help create safe, positive nights for those who need support.
  • Value inclusion and respect, treating everyone with dignity and kindness.
  • Stay calm and reassuring, even when things feel challenging - your presence makes a difference.
  • Enjoy working independently but also feel part of a team that shares the same purpose.
  • Are comfortable using technology to keep accurate records and follow support plans.
  • Can provide personal care when needed, always with empathy and understanding.
  • Bring flexibility and reliability, knowing that your role is essential to someone's wellbeing.
