The Advocacy People in Hastings is seeking a Support Advocate to join our thriving Contact Centre. Our small and friendly team handles calls, emails, and referrals to support colleagues working with vulnerable people across the south of England.

This permanent, part-time role is 20 hours per week across 4 days, with core hours 9am–5pm and a preferred pattern 9am–2pm Mon Tue Thu Fri, hybrid remote 1 day. Starting salary £25,878 per year pro rata, reflecting hours worked; Disability Confident

This role is permanent, working 20 hours per week across 4 days. The starting salary is £25,878 per annum pro rata. The core hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The preferred work pattern would be 9am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Together with your colleagues in the team, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming communication for The Advocacy People. You will be responsible for handling calls, responding to emails, triaging incoming referrals and adding them to our database.

As a friendly, helpful individual, we know you’ll go the extra mile to ensure people contacting our organisation are always happy with the service provided. You will need to be a strong team player who is flexible and willing to learn new processes.

You must also be a clear communicator who can remain calm in stressful situations and deal with very complex issues in a dignified and sensitive manner.
