Job summary

The Advocacy People in Hastings is seeking a Support Advocate to join our thriving Contact Centre. Our small and friendly team handles calls, emails, and referrals to support colleagues working with vulnerable people across the south of England.

This permanent, part-time role is 20 hours per week across 4 days, with core hours 9am–5pm and a preferred pattern 9am–2pm Mon Tue Thu Fri, hybrid remote 1 day. Starting salary £25,878 per year pro rata, reflecting hours worked; Disability Confident

Qualifications

• Clear communicator with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Strong team player who is flexible and willing to learn new processes.
• Excellent listening and triage skills for referrals and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls and respond to emails from people and professionals.
• Triaging incoming referrals and adding them to the database.
• Provide first-line support to colleagues working with vulnerable people.
