Job summary

Rullion is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tenders for glazing and façade packages across London and the South East, liaising with clients and suppliers to secure projects.

The role requires strong estimating experience in glazing/fenestration, interpretation of drawings and NBS specs, plus excellent Excel and communication skills. On-site parking and a modern office are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, drawings and contract documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Interpret drawings and NBS specifications for glazing packages.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to clarify project requirements.
• Assist with project handovers following award and support site teams as needed.
• Attend project meetings and site visits when required.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00

A specialist glazing and fenestration contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing commercial team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects throughout London and the South East, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a wide range of architectural glazing packages, helping secure new business and support continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced glazing estimator or a commercially minded construction professional looking to develop within a specialist and expanding sector.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of glazing and façade packages, including:

• Aluminium and steel windows and doors
• Curtain walling systems
• Rooflights
• Internal and external glazed balustrades
• Internal glass partitions
• Wall cladding systems
• Mirrors and specialist glazing packages

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Interpreting architectural drawings and NBS specifications.
• Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to clarify project requirements.
• Evaluating installation durations and project resource requirements.
• Supporting value engineering exercises and alternative design solutions.
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and tender documentation.
• Assisting with project handovers to delivery teams following contract award.
• Attending project meetings and site visits when required.

Requirements

• Previous estimating experience within the glazing, fenestration, façade, curtain walling or related construction sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of glazing systems and associated construction methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Experience working with NBS specifications.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience pricing curtain walling, windows, doors and structural glazing packages.
• Understanding of glazing installation sequencing and programme requirements.
• Experience using estimating, ERP or CRM software.
• Full UK driving licence.
