Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting an Estimator to oversee a high-quality range of windows, doors and glazing system projects. Office based in Warrington, with duties across the North West. You will prepare cost estimates from drawings and specs using Logikal, lead tendering, and engage with clients and contractors to maximise bids.

The role requires estimating experience in the glazing sector, strong communication, and high organisation levels. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience using Logikal software.
• Previous estimating experience preferred; related roles welcome.
• Experience in windows, doors, glazing or related sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High levels of organisation and problem-solving on site.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering: take-offs, pricing, submission, handover.
• Manage and track tender opportunities with timely follow-ups.
• Engage with clients and contractors via site visits and value engineering.
• Oversee projects up to £2m in value.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates from drawings and specifications.

Job Title: Estimator Industrial, Residential & Commercial Construction

Office Based: Warrington

Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000

Estimator position overseeing a high-quality range of windows, doors and glazing system projects

Prepare accurate cost estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications using Logikal software

May be a requirement to visit projects across the North West to further understand client requirements, measurements or to resolve issues

Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover

Manage and track tender opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions

Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids

Oversee projects up to £2m in value

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Construction with:

• Must have experience using Logikal software
• Previous Estimating experience, however candidates from closely related backgrounds (such as Order Processors, Quantity Surveyors, Sales Estimators or Commercial Administrators) are also encouraged to apply
• Must have experience within the windows, doors, glazing or closely related sectors
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Hard worker thats ready to get stuck in
• High levels of organisation
• Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
