Job description

London Marathon Events Funding Apprentice 13510

Programme duration 15 Months and 2 Months End of Point Assessment

Programme name Level 3 - Business Administration

Our vision is to inspire activity; for all ages, abilities, backgrounds and communities.

We believe that participating in sport and physical activity has the power to change lives.

We’re one of the UK’s major funders of projects and initiatives that inspire children and adults across the UK to lead active and healthy lives.

The London Marathon Foundation is the parent charity of London Marathon Events (LME).

Every year, LME’s surplus is passed as corporate Gift Aid to the Foundation. This, as well as other donations and interest, is used by the Foundation to fund projects that inspire activity in London, Essex and across the UK.

Our events raise millions for charities every year to improve the lives of individuals and communities and we passionately believe in the power of sport.

Our values are integral to who we are, how we work and what we do:

Caring - We value each other, our customers and the positive impact we make

Curious - We open our minds to new ideas, perspectives and ways of working

Exceptional - We strive to be the best and to redefine the art of the possible

Fun - We create joy, happiness and memories that last a lifetime

Diversity, inclusion and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, and we want to ensure they are at the heart of our company. We strongly value diversity within our workforce and recognise that different people bring different perspectives, lived experience, ideas and culture to the company. This difference brings with it great strengths, including diversity of thought. So, if you’re ready to be a force for good, lead change and want to make a difference to society, keep reading.

At LMF, we care about the relationships, and experience organisations have with us, whether applying for funding or receiving funds. You would help the Funding Team ensure an excellent experience as well as ensuring we follow good governance practices. You would also help support the smooth coordination of the Funding Team.

The role includes enrolment to a Level 3 - Business Administration Apprenticeship with formal training resulting in a professional qualification.

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain a broad range of skills in payroll, systems management, and data analysis, all while working alongside experienced professionals.
