Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing Limited is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his 60s at home. You will provide personal care, companionship, and help with daily activities to promote safety, independence and dignity.

The role includes catheter and epilepsy support, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and following care plans. Training and ongoing support from a clinical team are provided, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of UK care experience.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).

Job description

As a Care Assistant, you'll support vulnerable individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. You'll assist with a range of tasks, from personal care to emotional support and everyday activities.

Service User Specifics:

You will be supporting a gentleman in his 60s whose facial expressions will often tell you how he is feeling. He loves watching DVDs and enjoys watching TV in his bedroom after dinner. The client has Down syndrome, learning difficulties, epilepsy, and requires catheter care. We are looking for someone who is engaging, proactive, and genuinely eager to spend quality time with him, encouraging and supporting his daily routines and activities.

Full theoretical and practical training to support skills and development

Ongoing support from Office Team, Registered Managers, and Clinical Nursing staff

Weekly pay (PAYE or umbrella options available)

Your responsibilities will include

Who We're Looking For

A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.

An engaging, proactive individual willing to spend quality time and build rapport with the client.

Right to work in the UK ( We do not offer sponsorship)

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
