Job summary

GI Group Main Account is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support continued growth. Based from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, the role involves servicing and repairing specialist industrial equipment both at the workshop and on customer sites across the UK, with occasional travel.

You will be responsible for fault finding, installations, and providing training for new equipment. A 37‑hour week and UK driving licence are required, with a company van shared among the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical service role repairing/servicing electrical equipment or machinery (including 3‑phase)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering experience
• Detail‑oriented with a problem‑solving mindset
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to understand user needs
• Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Passport
• Right to work in the UK
• Shared use of company van

Responsibilities

• Service and repair customer equipment at the workshop and on customer sites

An established UK manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial dry-steam cleaning equipment is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support continued growth following a recent acquisition by a global parent company. This is a hands‑on role based from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with regular customer site work and occasional travel.

If you enjoy fault‑finding, repairs and customer‑facing engineering work, and want to develop your skills alongside experienced technical specialists, this could be a great fit.

The Role

Working a 37‑hour week, you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing and supporting specialist industrial equipment both at the workshop and on customer sites.
