Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Galston is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist young people with daily routines, school preparation and engaging activities. You’ll foster a warm, safe environment and work within a compassionate team.

No prior experience is required—training is provided. The role offers a full-time contract, a paid induction, opportunities for progression and access to a 24/7 helpline for staff and service users.

Pay:£27,976 to £32,510.40depending on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

As a support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
