Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people we support gain independence in daily living. You’ll work with a caring team, assisting with activities, outings, and daily tasks to enhance quality of life.

No prior experience is required; a genuine passion for helping others, resilience, and adaptability are valued. Training is provided, with opportunities for progression within a supportive environment.

Job description

Typical Shifts are: 8am to 7pm or 8am to 1-pm - 1 sleep required each week as part of the role

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Wakefied is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills,, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having the right values. At this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, and a willingness to support individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, and people who have may experienced trauma.
