Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Yard Operative for our client in Epsom on a 12 week Temporary to Permanent basis via agency. The role focuses on keeping the yard running smoothly and supporting site operations.

You'll assist drivers, sort and manage waste, load and unload materials, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed. A reliable, proactive team player is essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the yard.
• Direct and assist drivers and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Sort, segregate and manage different types of waste and recyclable materials.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy and organised at all times.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Identify and report any hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe working conditions.
• Assist machine and plant operators where required, subject to training and authorisation.
• Support colleagues to ensure the site operates efficiently.

Job role: Yard Operative

Job Type: 12 week Temporary to Permanent (via agency)

Working Hours

We offer two flexible shift patterns to suit your availability:

• Option 1 - Monday to Friday
• Option 2 - 3 Days per Week (Rota Basis)

Key Responsibilities of the Yard Operative:

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the yard.
• Direct and assist drivers and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Sort, segregate and manage different types of waste and recyclable materials.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy and organised at all times.

Requirements of the Yard Operative:
