Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to work in the Community Ageing Well Service in Central London. You will assess complex needs, develop personalised treatment plans and support independence at home.

This fixed-term maternity cover offers opportunities to develop specialist practice within a multidisciplinary team, aligned to Trust values of accountability, inclusion, compassion and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for people with complex physical, cognitive and functional needs.
• Develop and deliver personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans based on individual goals and strengths.
• Assess and recommend appropriate equipment, adaptations and moving and handling solutions.
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to therapy assistants and junior colleagues, where appropriate.

Join our innovative Community Ageing Well Service (CAWS) and make a meaningful difference to older people living with frailty, complex health needs and long-term conditions.

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team to help people remain independent, safe and confident in their own homes. You will use your specialist skills to assess needs, provide person-centred occupational therapy interventions and help people achieve what matters most to them.

CAWS provides proactive, preventative and holistic care, working closely with GPs, community rehabilitation, social care, care homes, voluntary sector organisations and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.
