Job summary

DC Personnel are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Leicester. This role offers stable Monday-to-Friday hours and the potential to move into a permanent position.

Working as part of the stores and warehouse team, you will safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift, move stock, load and unload deliveries, check goods and maintain accurate records while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
• Valid in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Experience working in a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail when handling stock and materials.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift.
• Move stock and materials around the warehouse and stores area.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Check incoming and outgoing goods.
• Store materials in the correct locations.
• Pick and move stock as required.
• Support the day-to-day running of the stores operation.
• Maintain accurate stock locations and records.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and correctly.
• Follow all warehouse and health and safety procedures.
• Keep the stores and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Support the wider warehouse team with general duties when required.

This is a great opportunity for someone with Counterbalance Forklift experience who is looking for stable Monday-to-Friday working hours and the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

The Role

Working as part of the stores and warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Checking incoming and outgoing goods.

• Picking and moving stock as required.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the stores operation.
• Maintaining accurate stock locations and records.
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and correctly.
• Following all warehouse and health and safety procedures.
• Keeping the stores and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties when required.

About You

• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift.
• A valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Experience working within a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail when handling stock and materials.
• A reliable and punctual approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to support with general warehouse and stores duties.
