NHS Jobs seeks a GP Partner to lead a busy East Horsley practice, delivering high-standard, patient-centred care within a supportive team. You will participate in partnership decision-making, on-call duties, and strategic planning, while supporting clinical audits, governance, recruitment and service improvement to sustain high-quality primary care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred general practice to registered patients.
  • Undertake face-to-face, telephone and other appropriate consultations.
  • Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with national and local guidance.
  • Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide appropriate home visits and care for housebound patients where required.
  • Participate in the practice's duty doctor/on-call arrangements.
  • Support the practice's approach to urgent and same-day care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, significant event reviews and quality improvement activity.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain professional standards in accordance with GMC requirements and NHS guidance.
  • Contribute to Partnership meetings and collective decision-making.
  • Help shape the strategic direction and long-term sustainability of the practice.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager on operational management, workforce planning and business development.
  • Contribute to financial and business planning.
  • Support recruitment, workforce development and succession planning.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, professionalism and patient experience.
  • Support a positive culture across the whole multidisciplinary team.

Job description
