We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team supporting our Scottish Water contract. This is an excellent opportunity to use your expertise in a hands-on role, partnering with operational teams to promote safe working practices, support colleague wellbeing and drive continuous improvement across a key water sector contract.
This is not a desk-based role. You'll be out on site, building relationships, providing practical advice and helping teams deliver work safely and efficiently. This is a Scotland-wide role, with occasional UK travel where required.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in...You have significant experience in a Health & Safety advisory role and enjoy working closely with operational teams to provide practical, solutions-focused support. You'll have a sound working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application within a construction, utilities, water or civil engineering environment, together with an understanding of environmental impacts and the importance of health and wellbeing in creating a positive safety culture.
You'll be confident influencing and supporting colleagues at all levels, promoting best practice and helping teams meet their legal Health, Safety and Wellbeing responsibilities.
A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential, along with Tech IOSH membership (or working towards Graduate IOSH). A full UK driving licence is required, and you'll be flexible to travel across Scotland, with occasional UK travel and flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements.
