Job summary

Himley Mill Care Home in Dudley is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead a varied, person-centred activities programme for Residents, including group and one-to-one sessions. You will build meaningful relationships with Residents, families and the wider care team, tailoring activities to individual interests, abilities and dementia care needs.

Himley Mill Care Home is a care home located in Dudley, West Midlands. Providing nursing, residential and dementia care, the home offers a warm and supportive environment where colleagues work together to make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day. With a strong focus on personalised care, independence and meaningful activities, Himley Mill offers a rewarding environment for those passionate about delivering kind, high quality care.

• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
