Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is seeking an experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator for a growing engineering business in the Tiverton area (Willand). The role focuses on heavy and light steel fabrication with a mild steel emphasis, reading drawings, and fabricating from engineering plans.

You will weld with MIG and TIG, work from jigs, and operate in a structured environment with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding on mild steel.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and fabricate from them.
• Experience working with both heavy and light steel fabrication.

Key Requirements

• Experience with both heavy and light steel fabrication, with the ability to work with mild steel.
• Good understanding of reading engineering drawings.
• MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Ability to work accurately using jigs.
• Competent in fabricating from engineering drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal, mild steel and stainless steel.
• Comfortable working on repetitive tasks.
