Job summary

Dignus Group in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with complex needs. You will follow individual care plans, provide person-centred support, and help clients move toward greater independence while safeguarding their wellbeing.

This full-time, permanent role offers comprehensive training, pension, health benefits, 28 days holiday, and opportunities to progress. You may have experience in care or transferable customer service skills, with a compassionate, flexible

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs, or transferable experience from roles involving people support, customer service, healthcare, education, hospitality or community work
• A Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable

Responsibilities

• Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
• Help individuals develop life skills and confidence
• Support access to community activities, appointments and opportunities
• Encourage choice, independence and informed decision-making
• Support individuals to maintain tenancy and home environment
• Complete accurate daily records, incident reports and support documentation
• Work closely with social workers, professionals, families and wider support networks
• Support transitions, including new admissions and moves between services
• Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents, risks and emergencies
• Create a safe, positive home environment where people feel valued and empowered to thrive

What the role involves:

You will support vulnerable adults with a range of complex needs, helping them move towards greater independence and achieve their personal goals.

Working to individual care plans and risk assessments, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs.

This

may include:

• Supporting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
• Helping individuals develop life skills and confidence
• Supporting access to community activities, appointments and opportunities
• Encouraging choice, independence and informed decision-making
• Supporting individuals to maintain their tenancy and home environment
• Completing accurate daily records, incident reports and support documentation

You’ll help create a safe, positive home environment where peoplefeelvalued, empowered and able to thrive.

Working pattern:

This service operates 24/7. You will work any 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays where required.

Flexibility is important, as the needs of the people wesupportcan vary day to day.

What we’re looking for:

A Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable, but not essential.
