Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a QA Supervisor for its Night shift in Clitheroe. You will drive quality standards, coach teams, and own QA processes to ensure safety and compliance across the site.

Working hours are 21:30–06:30 Sunday to Thursday, with overtime opportunities. This role reports to the QA Manager and offers a competitive hourly/dannual package.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene required.
  • Experience in food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, food legislation and customer Codes of Practice.
  • Experience carrying out internal audits and supporting external audits.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Good IT and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting BRC and customer audit preparation, including unannounced audits.
  • Maintaining and improving our Quality Management System.
  • Conducting internal audits and driving corrective actions.
  • Leading investigations into customer complaints and supplier non-conformances.
  • Monitoring microbiological trends, shelf-life testing and environmental swabbing programmes.
  • Managing GMP, Glass & Plastic, paperwork compliance and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinating product trials and validation activities.
  • Producing technical KPIs and quality reports.
  • Supporting customer visits and demonstrating our commitment to quality.
  • Championing product quality, food safety and compliance across the factory.
  • Deliver food safety and quality training across the site.
  • Coach production teams on allergens, CCPs, GMP and best practice.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Help maintain our excellent BRC standards and customer confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our QA Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards across the site. You'll

work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and audit readiness.

Your responsibilities will include:
