Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a QA Supervisor to join its Technical team in Clitheroe. You will uphold the highest food safety and quality standards, work with Production and Technical teams, and drive continuous improvement.

The role involves audits, KPI reporting, and coaching colleagues on GMP, CCPs, and allergens. Based at our Clitheroe site with early to late shifts, you’ll report to the QA Manager and play a key part in maintaining customer confidence and operational excellence across

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, food legislation and customer Codes of Practice
  • Experience carrying out internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Good IT and reporting skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting BRC and customer audit preparation, including unannounced audits
  • Maintaining and improving our Quality Management System
  • Conducting internal audits and driving corrective actions
  • Leading investigations into customer complaints and supplier non-conformances
  • Monitoring microbiological trends, shelf-life testing and environmental swabbing programmes
  • Managing GMP, Glass & Plastic, paperwork compliance and hygiene standards
  • Coordinating product trials and validation activities
  • Producing technical KPIs and quality reports
  • Supporting customer visits and demonstrating our commitment to quality
  • Championing product quality, food safety and compliance across the factory
  • Deliver food safety and quality training across the site
  • Coach production teams on allergens, CCPs, GMP and best practice
  • Build strong relationships across departments
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Help maintain our excellent BRC standards and customer confidence

Job Title: QA Supervisor - Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: The Compleat Food Group, Lincoln Way, Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 1QD
Working Hours: 05:30 - 18:00, Fortnightly rotating shift pattern - Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Pay: £17.46 per hour or £36,543 per annum + Overtime available
Reporting To: QA Manager

What You'll Be Doing

As our QA Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards across the site. You'll work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and audit readiness.
