Carlisle Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer to join our team working in partnership with Tesco. The role focuses on ensuring safety, visibility and a welcoming customer experience at the Chorley site.

Comprehensive training and full induction are provided. You will be part of a team delivering professional security services, with opportunities for career development and access to pension schemes after qualifying period.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required (Guarding or Door Supervision).
• Age 18+ due to legal requirements.
• Background check with BS7858 vetting history.
• Dependable, punctual and flexible in approach.
• Smart, professional appearance with friendly attitude.
• Security experience welcomed but eagerness to learn.
• Positive engagement with clients and the public.

The role

Carlisle Support Services is seeking motivated, reliable, and caring individuals to join our supportive team. If you're passionate about working with prestigious clients and are eager to grow your career, we’ll provide full training and all the encouragement you need to thrive.

Location:Chorley

Pay: £14.15 per hour

Hours:

- Option 1 (Full time)- PR7 1NW- Wednesday & Thursday 14:30-22:30, Friday & Saturday 13:30-22:30 and Sunday 09:30-16:30 (41 hours per week- 4.5 hours unpaid breaks per week- 36.5 hours paid)

- Option 2 (Part time)- PR7 7EL- Friday 14:30-22:30, Saturday 13:30-22:30, Sunday 09:30-16:30 (24 hours per week- 2.5 hours unpaid break per week- 21.5 hours paid)

As part of our team, your role will focus on:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, offering reassurance and empathy

The ideal candidate

• Age: 18+ (due to legal requirements for this role)
• SIA License: Guarding or Door Supervision licence required
• Background Check: 5 years of verifiable work and address history (to comply with BS7858 vetting process)
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible in approach
• Smart, professional appearance with a friendly and approachable attitude
• Passionate about doing a great job, always eager to learn
• Security experience is welcomed, but your willingness to learn is most important
• Able to engage positively with clients and the public, creating warm and welcoming interactions
• Excellent people skills and the ability to build trust with those around you

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
