Aston & Fincher Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products, support the store team, and promote sales growth. The role covers stocking, merchandising, order picking, and delivering high-quality customer service.

The position includes duties such as using the till, processing orders, and maintaining store presentation. You will contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment at our Cheltenham location.

Responsibilities

• Pick customers' orders and assist customers in-store.
• Ensure products are clean and correctly priced and stocked.
• Stock is put out on shelves according to procedures.
• Count stock accurately.
• Operate till / POS system and process invoices.
• Pack orders in line with company procedures.
• Assist with dispatches and deliveries of stock.
• Answering the phone and handling inquiries.
• Keep up to date with promotional activity and merchandising.
• Maintain store condition and visual standards.
• Make deliveries to salons within the area when necessary.
• Greet customers and ascertain their needs.
• Receive new shipments and transfer stock as required.

The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire and to support the store team to ensure the smooth running of the store in accordance with company procedures. Store Assistant duties include selling, restocking, and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

You will be responsible for picking customers’ orders and products, to serve and help all customers, keeping shelves well stocked with products, whilst ensuring the store is kept clean and presentable at all times.

• Use of till / Retailer
• Pack all orders in-line with the company procedures
• Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched
• Answering the phone
• Invoicing of orders through our till system
• Keep up to date with all promotional activity
• Merchandising within the company guidelines
• Build on customer telephone orders
• Assist with deliveries of stock coming into store
• Transfer stock in / out to stores/suppliers
• To help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• To make deliveries to salons within your area when necessary

Working Hours and Job Location

The working hours for this role are 28.75 hours a week.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.15am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.15am - 1.00pm
