Job summary

Royal Mail in Camelford is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating schedule, 30 hours per week across five days, with overtime options. Training, a uniform and a red van are provided, with location at Camelford Delivery Office.

The role involves outdoor work, walking up to ~12 miles per shift, weather exposure, and customer-facing duties. A full manual UK driving licence and fitness for outdoor duties are required.

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

Due to operational demand, you may be required to work occasional Sundays throughout peak periods.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
