Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join the team covering multiple sites across the Lancashire & Blackburn Schools Project. The role is permanent full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £25,954.50 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package.

Shift times are Monday to Friday, with any 8-hour shift between 05:30 and 22:00. DBS clearance is required for this role, along with a full UK driving licence and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Job description

On offer is a salary of £25,954.50 per annum and benefits package. Shift times: Monday - Friday, Any 8 hour shift between the hours of 05.30 and 22.00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out general caretaking, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks
• Supporting site security, including opening and closing the premises
• Building positive relationships with school staff and community users
• Ensuring services are delivered to a consistently high standard
• Supporting compliance with health and safety requirements

You will also work closely with the Area Supervisor to support service delivery across the site. For this role you must undergo a DBS clearance; therefore the ability to pass is essential.

Essential qualifications

• A reliable and proactive approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (not essential) qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities, or maintenance roles
• Experience supervising or supporting others
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance or systems
• Understanding of health and safety practices
