Job summary

Valleys to Coast Housing in Bridgend, Wales, is seeking a Building Surveying and Decarbonisation Manager to lead our surveying team and drive our decarbonisation agenda. Job description

Building Surveying and Decarbonisation Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Building Surveying and Decarbonisation Manager to lead our surveying team. In this role, you will provide critical technical leadership for complex building issues and defect works, co-ordinate building insurance claims, boundary disputes and champion our damp, mould, and condensation policy to ensure tenant safety and compliance with WHQS 2023, HHSRS, and the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will drive our decarbonisation ambitions through property and land-based initiatives to build a sustainable, future-ready housing service.

This role requires strong commercial, performance and financial acumen to manage a delegated budget, lead the preparation of tenders, and oversee delivery partners to ensure works are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will utilise asset data, customer feedback, and performance indicators to achieve continuous improvement, ensure strict compliance with health and safety (including CDM regulations), and deliver outstanding customer care to the communities Valleys to Coast serves.
