Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer for independent schools, seeks a Catering Assistant for Brentwood School. The role covers FOH and BOH, with 40 hours weekly in a term-time schedule. Pay is £12.94 per hour, plus benefits and training opportunities.

You will support a brand-new Boarding House operation and cafe, providing friendly service to students and staff while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Catering experience preferred (1 year) with training provided.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week on a 5-out-of-7 rota.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient service to students, staff, and visitors in the school.
• Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages, light snacks, and pre-prepared foods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all cafe areas, including counters and seating.
• Restock supplies and ensure displays are well-presented.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning and stock checks.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster a welcoming cafe atmosphere.
• Support occasional school events or functions as required.
• Set up and serve meals to pupils and staff.

Hours: 40 hours per week with paid overtime. 5 out of 7 days rota.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Catering Assistants for FOH and BOH to join the prestigious team atBrentwood School. We are looking for engaging, fun, flexible and approachable team member to help manage our brand new Boarding House operation and cafe.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, light snacks, and pre-prepared foods
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the café, including counters, seating, and equipment
• Restock supplies and ensure displays are well-presented and inviting
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning, washing up, mopping, stock countetc.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations at all times
• Provide excellent customer service, fostering a welcoming atmosphere in the café
• Support occasional school events or functions as required
• Assist with setting up and serving meals to pupils and staff
