Job summary

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited in Bradford is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide person-centred care, 24/7, including days and waking nights. The role involves supporting an adult with complex needs, maintaining routines, and enabling access to education and community activities.

You will work 3:1 in the home and out in the community, recording observations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families, and responding calmly to anxiety or behavioural escalation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience handling behaviours that challenge.
  • Good report-writing skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to the individual.
  • Support 3:1, 24/7 cover in home and community.
  • Assist with education access and appointments.
  • Record observations and daily notes accurately.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Respond calmly during anxiety or escalation.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and resilient Support Workers to provide 3:1 support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, both within the individual's home and out in the community. The individual requires consistent support to manage anxiety, maintain routines, access education and appointments, and in community activities.
