Job summary

Penderels Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a young woman with cancer during intensive treatment and requiring daily practical help with tasks and mobility.

You will assist with personal care, medication prompts, light household chores and dressing, accompany to appointments, and help her stay socially active; applicants must be 18+ due to medication administration, with Allergy awareness and epi-pen carried. Training may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or health environment is beneficial.
• Willingness to work with a vulnerable individual and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with tasks such as toileting, showering, getting in/out of bed, and dressing.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication as required.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments (hospital/doctor) as needed.
• Encourage socialisation and participation in activities.
