Job summary

Care South is hiring Home Care Assistants in Bournemouth. You will deliver person-centred home care, with paid travel time and a generous mileage allowance of 40p per mile. Roles include full-time, part-time, and bank positions, with flexible shifts to support client needs and your availability.

Driving is essential as this is community-based work. A DBS check is provided, with support from a friendly team and ongoing training to develop your skills in care delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required.
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one.

Travel: £12.71 per hour + 40p per mile mileage allowance

Hours: Full time, part time and bank positions available

Shift Pattern: Core shift times are 7:00 – 14:00 and 16:00 – 22:00. We also offer flexible evening shifts, including 16:00 – 20:00, 16:30 – 21:30, and 18:00 – 22:00.

As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid not just your contact time, but also for your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

This Home Care Assistant role is a community based; it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
