Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is recruiting Facilities Operatives to deliver a high quality Soft FM service in schools across Renfrewshire. The role covers cleaning, catering, school crossing patrol, security and related duties with a flexible, customer‑focused approach.

Part time and permanent; you will work at site level, join a team, undertake training as needed, hold literacy, numeracy and IT skills, and aim to develop REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene certification.

Facilities Operative (Soft FM) (Inclusive of Cleaning & Catering) (Part Time) (Permanent) - REN15049

Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit enthusiastic and skilled Facilities Operatives who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver a high quality, modern Soft Facilities Management service in schools across Renfrewshire.

The successful candidates will have responsibility, at site level for the effective delivery of all aspects of the Soft FM service which includes building cleaning; catering; school crossing patrol; security; and any other related services.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and have experience of working in a customer focused environment and be willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team. It is desirable that you have previous Soft FM experience in a similar environment and have a willingness to undertake training.

You must have literacy, numeracy and IT skills and it is desirable that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues.

It is essential that you have a REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or Willing to work towards if not already in possession of REHIS Elementary Food Safety Certificate
