Job summary

East Renfrewshire Council is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to support day-to-day operation of our corporate buildings across Council properties. You will ensure facilities are clean, secure, accessible and ready to support staff, customers and visitors, performing room set-ups, inspections and health & safety checks as required.

The role requires a practical, customer-focused approach and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team or on your own initiative in a busy environment.

Do you take pride in creating safe, welcoming and well-run environments? We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Officer to support the day-to-day operation of our corporate buildings.

Working across Council properties, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities are clean, secure, accessible and ready to support staff, customers, visitors and elected members. From room set-ups and building inspections to customer support, health and safety checks and facilities coordination, no two days are the same.

We're looking for someone with excellent customer care skills, experience working with the public and a positive, can-do approach who can work flexibly as part of a team and on their own initiative.
