Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in Bilston is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily pharmacy operations and deliver excellent customer service while completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will be trained to assist with prescription prep under supervision, manage stock and use pharmacy systems, all while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (Maths and English) or 4-9; can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries

Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)

Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records

Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Working Week

Monday to Friday 9-6 with 1 Saturday a month on a rota (Day off in the week when working saturday).

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
