Job summary

GXO Logistics Ltd in Bedford is seeking a full-time, permanent Class 2/7.5T Delivery Driver to join our Home Delivery team. You will work 48 hours per week across 4 of 6 days, with start times between 05:00 and 07:00 and flexibility for earlier starts.

DBS clearance is required. You will safely deliver products to customer premises, log returns, complete tachographs, and perform pre- and post-journey vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with category Class 2 or 7.5T grandfather entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in full compliance with road traffic and vehicle legislation and ensuring the vehicle and stock are always properly secured.
• Deliver products ensuring all items are handled correctly, some hand balling/heavy lifting involved.
• Collect and accurately log product returns during deliveries.
• Complete tachographs in compliance with legal and company requirements. Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
