Job summary

Ourbob is looking for a professional Class 1 Driver (C+E) in Leeds to perform trunking work with no handballing, ensuring deliveries are safe and on time. The role involves daily vehicle checks, regulatory compliance and accurate paperwork, with immediate starts and a modern fleet.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of Class 1 experience, a valid UK CPC, and a digital tachograph card. This is full-time, with overtime opportunities and regular weekly pay for a supportive transport team.

Qualifications

• 6 months commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• A valid UK Driver CPC (DCPC) qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle.
• Trunking work with no handballing (Leeds–Doncaster–Leeds).
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Deliver goods safely, professionally and on time.
• Follow Road Transport, Working Time Directive and Driver Hours regulations.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately.

Pay Rate: £18.73 - £21.00 p/h (£18.73 basic + £2.27 holiday pay = £21.00 total)

Shifts: Monday to Friday - Night Shifts

Licence Type: Class 1 - C+E

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities may include:

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• A minimum of 6 months commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points, however applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.

Applicants must be UK residents and able to travel to and from the site independently. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship or relocation support.
