Sanctuary Group in Banbury is hiring a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to supervise estate grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, hedge trimming and bed care, across sites within an hour of Banbury. You will manage tools, follow safety rules, and respond to issues to keep estates presentable for visitors.

The role demands experience with gardening machinery, supervising others, and a valid UK driving licence. 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri, with benefits and a pension scheme.

Qualificações

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline.
• Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential.
• Some experience of supervising others.
• Full UK driving licence is required to drive a company vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Provide supervisory support to keep estates well maintained and clean.
• Operate equipment and materials safely as per risk assessments and manufacturer guidance.
• Carry out hazardous tasks such as spraying in accordance with supplier guidelines and keep records for health, safety and legal compliance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and suitable for tasks.
• Respond to complaints and service delivery issues to meet customer expectations.

Landscape Technician Charge Hand

- £30,908 per year

£29,362 per annum (rising to £30,908 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our Estate Services team, based in Banbury. You will work within a small team of 2 and be responsible for the maintenance of communal grounds including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds, and you will cover various sites within an hour of Banbury. It will be your responsibility to ensure the grounds look presentable for any visitors. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all tools and equipment.

The role of Landscape Technician Charge Hand will include:

• Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
• Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
• Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

Skills and experiences:

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline
• Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
• Some experience of supervising others
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
