Sanctuary Group in Banbury is seeking a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our Estate Services team. You will supervise a small team of two and maintain communal grounds including grass cutting, hedge trimming and flower beds, covering sites within an hour of Banbury.

You will ensure grounds look presentable for visitors and maintain all tools and equipment. A PA1–PA6 pesticide certificate, NVQ3 in Horticulture, gardening machinery experience and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualificações

• Pesticide PA1–PA6 (or equivalent).
• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline.
• Experience supervising others and operating gardening machinery.
• Full UK driving licence (drives company vehicle).

Responsabilidades

• Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean.
• Using equipment and materials safely in line with risk assessments and manufacturers' guidance.
• Carrying out hazardous tasks such as spraying in accordance with supplier guidelines and maintaining relevant records for health, safety and legal compliance.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and suitable for tasks.
• Responding to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations.

We are looking to recruit a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our Estate Services team, based in Banbury. You will work within a small team of 2 and be responsible for the maintenance of communal grounds including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds, and you will cover various sites within an hour of Banbury. It will be your responsibility to ensure the grounds look presentable for any visitors. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all tools and equipment.

Role responsibilities

• - Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
• - Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer's guidance
• - Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
• - Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
• - Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

Qualifications and experience

• - Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 - PA6 (or equivalent)
• - NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline
• - Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
• - Some experience of supervising others
• - This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

£29,362 per annum (rising to £30,908 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
