Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our Richmond Manor kitchen, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chefs in planning and providing high-quality meals meeting residents' dietary needs
• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals meeting dietary requirements
• Ensure all food meets Food Hygiene Standards and safe methods of work are used
• Manage stocks and stores with proper labeling and stock rotation
• Keep accurate fridge temperature and hygiene records

As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

Joining us at Richmond Manor, our luxury care home that provides residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people, you'll be part of a team that is genuinely passionate about the health and well-being of our residents.

What you'll be doing

• - Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• - Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• - To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
• - Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• - To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks

• - Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.

• - Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
