Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Alston House in Eastleigh to help deliver high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for residents. You will support chefs, manage stock, and uphold hygiene standards in a luxury care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chefs in planning and provision of high-quality meals meeting nutritional needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals meeting dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all food meets Food Hygiene Standards and safe methods of work.
  • Manage all stocks and stores with correct labeling and rotation systems.
  • Maintain accurate records for fridge temperatures and food hygiene requirements.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
  • To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
  • Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
  • To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks
