Job summary

Key Care & Support seeks a dedicated support worker to assist Sammy, a 26-year-old man with learning difficulties, medical needs and communication via iPad and hand signs.

You will help him live a meaningful, active life, support routines, and promote best quality of life through person-centred care, positive relationships and consistency. Flexibility to cover days and nights is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience supporting adults with enhanced needs.
• Must be flexible to cover days and nights.
• Drivers with a UK Drivers Licence and 12 months UK Driving experience is required.

Hours of work Days 0800-2200 hrs and Nights 2200-0800 hrs flexibility required.

Drivers with a UK Drivers Licence and 12 months UK Driving experience is required

Key Care & Support are looking for a skilled and values- driven Support worker to join the team to support " Sammy " a 26 year old man to enable him to live a meaningful, active and fulfilling life, while leading a staff team to deliver high quality, person-centred support.

Sammy has a great sense of pride in his appearance and a wide range of interests. He responds well to positive relationships, encouragement and consistency. Sammy enjoys staying active, spending time in the community and taking part in social activities such as live music events, discos and karaoke nights.

The role involves:

Sammy enjoys many activities, these include, swimming, karaoke,using swings and rocking chairs, jet washing the car, simple food preparation and baking, walks, visiting Barton Aerodrome, listening to music, visiting the Trafford centre, visiting museums and galleries and café's, walks on the beach and watching TV.
