Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Washington for an experienced Class 2 driver to support ongoing work. You will carry out multidrop deliveries of building products on local North East routes; the vehicle is loaded for you and a driver’s mate provides assistance.

Shifts start at 6am and run seven days a week with weekend work possible; hourly PAYE rates apply with enhanced rates for overtime, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C licence with CPC.
• Digi-Card and Tachographs understanding.
• Experience with multidrop logistics and local routes.
• Willingness to work early shifts and weekends.
• Washington, UK-based role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries of building products.
• Learn local North East routes and follow assigned schedules.
• Work with a driver's mate and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Start times around 6am with a seven-day operation including potential weekend work.

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Washington, who are a well-known building supplies company. Due to their continuing growth, they are requiring an experienced Class 2 driver for ongoing work.

Class 2 driver role:

• Multidrop of building products
• Local North East routes
• Vehicle will be loaded for you
• Assistance from a driver's mate
• Washington based

Class 2 driver hours of work:

• 6am-11am starts until finish
• 7 day operation, so this role could involve weekend working

Class 2 driver pay rates (PAYE):

• £14.82 - Monday to Friday first 8 hours
• £22.23 - Monday to Friday after 8 hours
• £22.23 - Saturday all hours
• £29.64 - Sunday all hours
• £29.64 - Bank Holiday's all hours
