Job summary

Flow Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager for our client to lead and oversee nursery operations in Scotland. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, implementing EYFS, and driving staff development within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 equivalent, nursery leadership experience, and knowledge of safeguarding. A formal management qualification is desirable, with strong partnerships with parents and Local Authority agencies being

• Experience managing a room or team within a nursery.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of EYFS, overseeing planning and record keeping.
• Promote and facilitate partnerships with parents/carers and other family members.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices.
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Qualifications & Experience

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures
