Job summary

Flow Recruitment is supporting a leading childcare provider to recruit a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager. The role focuses on supporting EYFS delivery, overseeing planning and records, and ensuring high standards across a bespoke nursery setting.

You will lead a team, build strong relationships with parents and Local Authority partners, maintain safeguarding practices, and assist with nursery finance and events.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 equivalent in childcare and education.
• Experience managing a room or team in a nursery.
• Formal management qualification desirable but not essential.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS.
• Sound safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of EYFS, including overseeing planning and records.
• Promote partnership with parents and carers.
• Maintain professional relationships with Local Authority and regulatory bodies.
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare policies and practices.
• Assist Manager with maintaining nursery accounts and producing management information.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager Qualifications & Experience

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
• A current First Aid qualification.
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager Key Responsibilities

• To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
• Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
