Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an assistant to support teaching staff and promote pupil attainment across a range of ages. The post involves flexible school location within the cluster, with initial base at the advertised location and potential to work elsewhere within the Banff CSN.

The role requires commitment to quality service delivery and ongoing improvement, with pre-employment PVG Scheme checks and references. Interviews are planned per the council process.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• A PVG Scheme or update check is required for the preferred candidate.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if you have spent 3+ months abroad in the last 5 years.
• A confirmed offer is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

There is a requirement to be flexible in school location within the cluster, according to individual circumstances and work with a range of pupils from P1 – S6.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Banff CSN.
