Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a conscientious Reactive Repairs Manager to lead the responsive repairs team in the Guildford Borough area. You will oversee emergency, urgent and routine repairs, coordinate with the Helpdesk, Supervisors and trades, and ensure timely and safe completion of works while maintaining high customer service standards.

The role requires a strong background in housing maintenance, experience in supervision or management, and the ability to drive improvements

Qualifications

• Experience as supervisor or manager in housing maintenance.
• Must pass a DBS check.
• Professional appearance and courteous attitude.
• Strong background in housing maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for safe, efficient and timely delivery of repairs from receipt to closure.
• Manage daily repairs operation with Resource Controller, Helpdesk and Supervisors.
• Ensure work is prioritised, resourced and delivered within service levels.
• Maintain control of work in progress, monitor emergencies and high-risk orders.
• Keep job management system updated with appointments, notes and evidence.
• Oversee availability and productivity of directly employed trades and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits to work and site procedures.
• Escalate repairs with significant hazards or disrepair when needed.
