Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council's LLFA is seeking a highly experienced Drainage Engineer to join the reactive drainage team for the winter period (26 October to end March). Candidates should hold an HNC/ONC Level 5 qualification in Civil Engineering or related field and have extensive drainage investigation experience.

You will lead the reactive workload, liaise with contractors, draft works and oversee civils activities to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in complex drainage investigation and resolution.
• Ability to liaise effectively with residents, colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reactive drainage workload supported by two officers.
• Respond to enquiries relating to highways and land drainage and assess on-site responses.
• Liaise with Framework Contractor staff and other contractors to investigate issues.
• Recommend repairs, replacements or enhancements and draft work orders.
• Oversee civils works to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual obligations.
• Provide on-site visits at short notice; coordinate with the Graduate Engineer.
