Responsibilities

• Attend reactive emergency call-outs to clear internal blockages in soils and pipes.
• Leak tracing and investigation of above-ground water services.
• Repair leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
• Replace small bore waste pipework at sinks, basins, urinals, etc.
• Replace mixer taps, wash-down taps and spray guns.
• Replace toilet float lines and stack pipework.
• Remove/install cast iron soil pipework.
• Support drainage operatives with access and clearance works.
• Assist with quoted works including small reactive tasks and larger replacements.
• Support excavation teams with repairs on below-ground mains.
• Perform extensive descale works for above and below ground drainage using HPWJ and milling tools.
• Conduct CCTV surveys and fault-finding to support client needs.
• Assist drainage teams with clearance during emergencies.

Lead Drainage Engineer

Salary: £42,000 Basic salary depending on experience + overtime 1.5

Location: Field-based, covering London and Surrounding Areas; head office is Gravesend

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday 50 hours per week + On-call rota

We are recruiting a Lead Reactive Drainage Engineer to join the Reactive department.

The main purpose of the Drainage Engineer is to work alongside the Lead Drainage Engineer to attend commercial premises, office space, retail, industrial sites and other establishments.

In return, we are offering a salary of £42,000 + Overtime, plus progression opportunities, pension, and annual leave.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The hours of work will consist of 5x shifts per week. Monday- Friday with on-call rota, occasional overnights

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Hiring Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Attend reactive emergency call-outs to clear internal above-ground blockages, including soil stacks, float lines and small bore pipework.
• Leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services
• Repairing leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
• Removing and replacing small bore waste pipe on pot wash sinks, basins, urinals etc
• Replacing mixer taps, wash down taps and spray guns
• Replacing toilet float lines and stack pipework
• Removing and Installing cast iron soil pipework
• Assisting drainage operatives with cutting in pipe access to support blockage clearance and investigation works
• Assisting other plumbing operatives with quoted works which will consist of both small reactive works and large internal above ground drainage replacements.
• Supporting drainage operatives with internal drain descales.
• Using CCTV equipment to support leak investigation
• Taking water samples to confirm source of leaks
• Supporting excavation teams with repairs on below ground water mains
• Extensive descale works for above and below ground drainage, including small bore and stack pipework internally, this is carried out via the use of HPWJ, electromechanical milling machine and hand coring machine.
• CCTV Surveys, inspections and detailed investigation works which will involve fault finding and providing practical solutions to support the client’s needs.
• Generally supporting drainage teams with clearance and blockage works should emergencies arise.
